In the 1920s, due to the trade activities in Dadaocheng, the prosperous economy also promoted entertainment life, from Peking Opera, Taiwanese Opera, and Puppet Opera to New Opera, modern play, etc. The Yongle Theater and the First Theater in the past had an endless stream of theatergoers, giving Dadaocheng a reputation as a "theater hub".
The meaning of Thinkers' Theater is that the performers on stage and the audience can exchange ideas as long as they‘re in there. Through performance, thinking, dialogue, exchange, and interaction, a space with meaningful value is created.
